BearBound Kickstarter, help me bring BearBound to mobile

Howdy folks!
I've been working away on Primary 2 and I recently took some time to take part in the 2012 IDGA Chicago Game Jam. Several developers came together and had a good time making games together and networking.

In the end my team was chosen as the winner thanks to my experience with game jams like the ones here on Newgrounds. If you want to make games but can't you should participate in the jam however you can. It isn't about winning it is about participating.

Anyway as I said I'm working on Primary and I have a pretty solid engine but the final game is still a long way off. So I'm working on a smaller project on the side. Bringing BearBound to mobile.

I have all the ground work done and need time to do art but money is tight so I'm dong a small kickstarter for the game soon. By the way, BearBound was made for a Newgrounds Game Jam.

So even if you can't do much participate in the NG game jams you WILL learn something. And you might make a hit game by accident.

Get in the Game (Jam) also BearBound KickStarter!

Howdy! So I'm working on a version of Primary for mobile and it is coming along nicely. I'm planning on doing a Kickstarter campaign and I was thinking about things I can use as backer rewards.

Since the original game was made for Newgrounds and Child's Play I thought I might as well post and ask if any NG artists would be interested in making posters for the game in their styles for the Kickstarter campaign. If so I can pay a small commission for the work or trade my services on small projects. I would also give anyone who participates a free copy of the game and beta access through test flight.

I plan on donating a portion of the finished games profits to Child's Play once it is released.

If you are interested play Primary a bit and get a feel for it. Drop me a line and I'll give you some updates on what the new game is like. It will have more environments and some slightly different powers but the basics are the same... though I have plans to expand the game episodically.

Oh hi there! So yeah it's been nearly a year since I made a post on here... I've been busy with several things and haven't had time to really work on games as much as I would like to. BUT that's changing! I've been working on a mobile version of Primary for a while now and I'm planning on doing a kickstarter with it in the next couple of months.

The plan is to retell the story of the original and continue it with the mobile game so everyone who is sending me hate mail about the to be continued ending on Primary should be happy once it is done.

Right now there is a lot of work that needs to be done and i'm working on fixing issues with the base game mechanics on mobile, I'm trying not to dumb the game down at all for mobile but the touch screen makes it tough.

Can you guys point me toward platformer games on the iPhone that have intuitive control schemes? I really don't want to do a d-pad if I can help it and I have been working on alternatives myself but if there are other solutions I haven't thought of I would love to see them.

I'll try to keep you posted with screen shots from time to time once things start looking all smexky.

Howdy! So I'm a fairly regular face on the TV show Quirky on the Sundance Channel that premiered Tuesday at 10PM. I was only on the first episode for a few seconds but later in the season I'm on a FULL episode! Interesting stuff so be sure to watch Quriky on the Sundance Channel.

You can watch the first episode on Hulu right now! http://www.hulu.com/watch/270233/quirk y-huge-gamble-huge-reward

Anyway I'm also looking for some nice catchy upbeat music for my first iPhone app. I don't have any money to go buy something but if you are a musician wanting exposure and you have something that you can license to me that would be awesome. I will put your name on the splash screen with a Music By: credit.

Here is an image of the title menu. It is a very simple game where sometimes blocks fall but it speeds up as it goes to it needs to be a fun little song that can loop without being to annoying.

I'm on TV! And I'm looking for also music for an iPhone app!

So I've been working with the guys over at Crawlspace games to bring my most popular game, Globs, to the iPhone, Android and Nook. We have updated the graphics and added a new TIMED mode and refined the game quite a bit.

Click here to see a bit about the app.
Get the iPhone / iPad Verion
Get the Android Version

Buy a copy for 99 cents and help me pay the bills and keep making games! If you like the original Globs you will get LOADS more than 99 cents worth of entertainment from this really well done app!

I have been really busy working to keep a roof over my head so please get the app and tell your friends. That will help me get a little less stressed out day to day.

Thanks, and I hope you like the game!

Howdy! I just wanted to let it be known that my friend Matt and I am working on the new Primary game and it's looking pretty good. We are working on a trailer right now and ironing out the level designs and how we want things to look and feel in the game, as well as the enemies that you will encounter in the game.

If you are interested and would like to take a look at some of the concept art for the game take a gander over here... http://primarygameblog.blogspot.com/

Luis is coming to my neck of the woods this month, hopefully I can make it to the NG meetup on the 27th and hang out with all my fellow Newgrounders. I might be flying out to New York to be on TV at the end of the month though and if that's the case I might miss the Meetup.

In other news Abobo is smashing his way though my brains but I think he is almost done, so that's good.

OH And I'm still trying to give away that Wacom Tablet to anyone willing to send me stuff for my office. It's pretty bland in here guys. PM me with an image or description of the stuff you would be willing to send me and if I like it I'll give you my address. Please no more Twilight posters.

Here is an early concept of the look of the new Primary game, The ground will change a bit and be more 3D but it looks pretty snazzy.

Primary 2 in development, check out the blog!
