Oh my goodness I'm still alive! Also Primary 2 News...

Posted by JackSmack - August 25th, 2012

Oh hi there! So yeah it's been nearly a year since I made a post on here... I've been busy with several things and haven't had time to really work on games as much as I would like to. BUT that's changing! I've been working on a mobile version of Primary for a while now and I'm planning on doing a kickstarter with it in the next couple of months.

The plan is to retell the story of the original and continue it with the mobile game so everyone who is sending me hate mail about the to be continued ending on Primary should be happy once it is done.

Right now there is a lot of work that needs to be done and i'm working on fixing issues with the base game mechanics on mobile, I'm trying not to dumb the game down at all for mobile but the touch screen makes it tough.

Can you guys point me toward platformer games on the iPhone that have intuitive control schemes? I really don't want to do a d-pad if I can help it and I have been working on alternatives myself but if there are other solutions I haven't thought of I would love to see them.

I'll try to keep you posted with screen shots from time to time once things start looking all smexky.

I don't know much myself, but how about a scheme you control the player by touching the left/right and above for jumping, OR an accelerometer-based controls where the character jumps when the mobile is shook?

Haven't heard from you in a while. Glad to hear your back. :)

I'm sad I'm not working on this, but glad it's getting made :)
