My product on Quirky is up for sale! Pledge to buy one! AND A NEW GAME!

Posted by JackSmack - April 18th, 2011

Howdy everypeoples!

So first off my Plunger Snake idea is up for sale on Quirky.com

http://www.quirky.com/products/100-Nau tilus-Toilet-Plunger

You might notice that it no longer has a snake in it and it costs 50 bucks... Can't say I'm overly pleased with the process but from the demos that I have seen this thing will shove a watermelon through a tailpipe.

If you have a credit card you can pledge to buy one and help me get it closer to the threshold. When you pledge you don't get charged and you won't get charged until you CONFIRM that you want the item after it gets past threshold.

So pledge to buy as many as you can, cause the more you actually buy the more money you earn from sales from this point on.

Also if you can like it on facebook and tell your friends I would appreciate it.

In other news.... I made a game for the game jam called Catch 51. Play it!

i love the "meet the inventor" photo

That is really awesome man! Congrats. What kind of percentage do you get from sales? Cause this seems like an interesting process to try.

I get around 10.5 cents on the dollar or so I think. The really cool thing is that if you buy one you get a small percentage too. Cause getting your product chosen means that you have to get really lucky but being buying an item in presale actually makes you an investor and you get a small percentage of sales yourself.

Wow, that is really cool. I have always heard about quirky but never really looked into it. I need to do some research into this! Thanks for the info. Cool design by the way! A little on the pricey side for a plunger, but looks powerful as hell lol.

Yes it is very pricey for a plunger. I unfortunately don't have any control over that. I'm going to try to talk them into making it cheaper but in the end it's Quirky's call.

Wow, awesome-congrats on getting an invention out there!

I think for the sales thing, if you really had the time to spare, you could have paid them produce a large number of the plungers, buy it from them for cheap, and then market it in shops. A bit risky though.

Congratulations!
