I got a great gift. My Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer this November. He just happened to request a colonoscopy and they found it. This was his first colonoscopy, so if your parents are over 50 remind them to get one... When they found the cancer they preformed surgery and took out 13 inches of his large intestine.
It turns out that he had the most aggressive form of cancer and they needed to check if the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes. So they took 42 of them out and tested them. Every one of them came back negative. So he doesn't need chemotherapy.
I got my Dad's health this Christmas, and little else. This year has made me realize how important family is since I live 500 miles away from them. I hope that no one takes family for granted and that you all had a great Christmas.
